Linda Ann Patterson Sanders, age 66, of Washington, Iowa, passed away Saturday, January 13, 2024, at Select Specialty Hospital in Davenport, Iowa.

The family will be present to celebrate Linda's life and receive friends on Saturday, April 20, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home. Linda was born April 19, 1957, at the Washington County Hospital in Washington, Iowa, the daughter of Homer Edward and Alice Ruth (Wilson) Patterson. She was married to Kenwood Warren Sanders on December 27, 1975. They later divorced.

She provided in home child care and worked at Kentucky Fried Chicken and later became disabled. Linda lived in Washington until her passing.

Linda is survived by two sons: Douglas (Jessica) Sanders, Jeffrey Sanders; two step sons: Sean Sanders, and Jason Sanders, all of Washington, Iowa; four grandchildren: Dillon Sanders, Jace Sanders, Danielle Sutton and Trevor Sanders. She is also survived by her mother, Alice Ruth Wilson Patterson, of Keota, Iowa; five brothers: Donald (Sandi) McArtor of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; Hubert (Cheryl) McArtor of Knoxville, Tennessee; David (Judy) McArtor of West Chester, Iowa; William (Linda Kay) Patterson of Oxford, Iowa; John (Penny) Patterson of Washington, Iowa; three sisters, Sandra Shafer of West Chester, Iowa; Susan (Mike) McDonald of Keota, Iowa; and Mary (Jim) Long of South English, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Hubert and Minetta (Tracy) Wilson and William and Cora (Wade Patterson; father, Homer Edward Patterson in 1989; brothers, Dennis Patterson in 1978, Walter McArtor in 2009, Junior Patterson in 2016, and brother-in-law, Donald Shafer in 2016; five nephews, one niece, one great nephew and one great niece and her ex husband, Kenwood Sanders in 2014.
