Linda A. Leyden, age 74, of Washington, Iowa, died Saturday, March 27, 2021, following a lengthy battle with cancer.

The family will be present to receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 31, 2021, at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home. Private family interment will take place at Elm Grove Cemetery. Linda was born March 30, 1946, in Washington, Iowa, the daughter of Raymond and Hazel Marie (Stalder) Fritz. She graduated from Washington High School in 1964. Linda was united in marriage to Roger D. Leyden on December 31, 1963, in Washington, Iowa.

Linda provided Day Care services from her home for 47 years. Family was always a top priority for Linda. She enjoyed spending time with and attending all of her families events. She loved cooking, working in her yard and taking care of her flowers.

She is survived by her husband, Roger Leyden of Washington, Iowa; four sons: Jeff Leyden and wife Marketta of Alta, Iowa; Scott Leyden and wife Pam of Owatonna, MN; Chad Leyden and wife Heather of Washington, Iowa; Brett Leyden and wife Erin of Washington, Iowa; 11 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Ted Fritz of Beardstown, Illinois; sister, Marge Richards and husband Jack of Grinnell, Iowa; and sisters-in-law, Pam Fritz of Arizona and Annette Fritz of Washington, Iowa.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Tom, Mike and Bob Fritz and sister-in-law, Julie Fritz.
