Linda D. Fisher, age 74, of West Des Moines, Iowa, died Tuesday, December 2, 2014, at the University of Iowa Hospital following complications due to heart failure.
Private family services will be held at a later date at the Elm Grove Cemetery in Washington. In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established for the American Heart Association. Linda was born March 18, 1940, in West Chester, Iowa, the daughter of Edgar and Pauline V. (Gardner) Stewart. She attended school in West Chester, Iowa and graduated from Mid Prairie High School. Linda attended the University of Iowa before graduating from the American Institute of Business in Des Moines, Iowa. She lived most of her adult life in West Des Moines.
Linda worked as a legal secretary for the Davis Law Firm prior to her retirement. She was an avid Iowa Hawkeye, Dallas Cowboy and New York Yankees fan. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by son, Mark Fisher and wife Lori of Waterloo, Iowa; son, Michael Fisher of Adel, Iowa; and five grandchildren, Ellen, Nicholas, Natalie, Nathan and Cade Fisher.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents.
