Levi was born May 14, 2006, in Charlotte, North Carolina. He is the son of Alan and Sue (Dvorak) Bechtold.
Levi loved life and had a contagious smile that was impossible not to mirror. He is known for being full of life, love and laughter. Levi cherished his 4 brothers and 3 sisters, and continuously gave to others with his benevolent heart. Levi was the light and love of his mother's heart and one of his father's most precious treasures. Levi was a young uncle to 5 nephews and 3 nieces that kept his 17 year old spirit youthful and ageless.
He served on the Marion Avenue Baptist Coralville Church bus route by leading songs of worship and ministering to children of all kinds. He frequently shared God's gospel door-to-door in his community, and served as a beacon of light for the Lord leading others to salvation and the love of his Lord, Jesus Christ.
Levi was a zealous basketball player and was a starter for the Marion Avenue Baptist Church Warriors basketball team. Levi was a fierce player at the 2022 Midwest Christian Boys Football Camp in Dwight, Illinois, where he was a triple award winner: Most Valuable Player, Outstanding Linebacker, and Outstanding Offensive Back.
Levi loved animals of all kinds, especially horses and dogs. Levi loved his dog, Buddy, a French Bulldog, along with his Bernese Mountain Dog named Jade. Levi never shied away from hard work and was working during his summer break for a masonry company, which gave him so much fulfillment.
Levi is forever in our hearts and he lives forever more and we will see him again soon! We will desperately miss him, but we know that God alone turns our mourning into joy. Until we meet in Heaven.
