Leila L. Lintz, age 97, of Crawfordsville, Iowa, died Thursday, September 14, 2017, at Sunrise Terrace in Winfield following a short illness.

Graveside services will be held at 9:00 a.m. Saturday, September 16, 2017, at the Crawfordsville Cemetery with services conducted by Larry Fletcher. Leila was born, September 11, 1920, in rural Crawfordsville, Iowa, the daughter of Fred and Lefa (Lease) Jarvis. She attended Washington High School. She was united in marriage to Clayton M. Lintz on February 4, 1941, in Washington, Iowa.

Leila and her husband farmed the Wyman area since 1942. Leila was also a homemaker and helped with the farm chores. She was a longtime member of the Wyman Community Club and was President for the clubs 50th Anniversary in 1972. The couple moved to Crawfordsville in 1993. Leila was an avid gardener and enjoyed canning and cooking.

Leila is survived by son, Gene (Betty) Lintz; daughter, Carol (Doug) Steele; son, Rick Lintz, all of Crawfordsville, IA; daughter, Cathy Flam of Cowetta, OK; 12 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband in 2005; daughter, Lorena Feiner in 2007 and her husband Richard; granddaughter, Tracy J. Lintz; 2 brothers: Ivan and Norman Jarvis; and 2 sisters: Betty Jarvis and Barb Gatton.
