Laura Z. Neff, age 101, of Washington, Iowa died Friday April 16, 2010 at the Washington Care Center.

Celebration of life services will be held 10:30 am Monday, April 19, 2010 at the Jones Eden Funeral Home with Pastor Harold Schutte officiating. Visitation will begin 11:00 am Sunday at the Jones Eden Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 2:00 - 4:00 Sunday afternoon. Laura was born August 1, 1908 in Washington County, Iowa the daughter of David S. and Ruth Ellen (Lowry) Keller. She attended school in Brighton, Iowa. On August 17, 1925 she was united in marriage to Ralph Leo Hoxworth. She was later married to Claire Neff.

Laura was a life resident of Washington County having lived in Brighton and Washington. She worked for Harper Brush Co. in Fairfield, Iowa and later worked at the United Presbyterian Home in Washington. She enjoyed gardening and caring for her flowers.

Laura is survived by her son Harold Hoxworth and wife Janet of Norway, Iowa and one grandson Rick Hoxworth and wife Kathy of Center Point, Iowa. .

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ralph and her husband Claire, one daughter Betty Shalla and one grandson Ted Shalla.
