Larry D. Robertson, age 70, of Washington, Iowa, passed away suddenly on Monday, October 22, 2018, at the Washington County Hospital.

Celebration of life services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 26, 2018 at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home in Washington with Pastor Rick Zickefoose officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Friday morning. Interment will be private. A general memorial has been established. Larry was born December 18, 1947 in Washington, Iowa, the son of Marion C. and Lola F. (Alliman) Robertson. He graduated from Washington High School and served in the National Guard for several years.

Larry was a lifelong resident of Washington County, where he farmed all of his life. He was an avid deer hunter and fisherman.

He is survived by his siblings: John C. Robertson and wife Shirley of Farmington, IA; Donald R. Robertson and wife Beverly of Washington, IA; Marilyn Chmelar of Caldwell, TX; and Roberta Anne Helmich and husband Jim of Jacksonville, FL; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Marion James Robertson; and two brothers-in-law, Franklin J. Chmelar and Kenneth Erwin.
