Larry Dean Harris, age 58, of Washington, Iowa, died Thursday, September 23, 2021, in Iowa City, Iowa, following a lengthy battle with pancreatic cancer.

Services will be held at a later date. Memorials have been established for Iowa City Hospice. The Jones & Eden Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Online condolences may be left for Larry's family through the web at www.jonesfh.com .

Larry was born January 2, 1963, in Washington, Iowa, the son of Olin and Deloris (Wilson) Harris. He attended school in Washington graduating from Washington High School in 1981.
Larry worked at the Kalona Cheese Factory and most recently worked at Tyson's in Columbus Junction, Iowa.

He served honorably in the United States Army Reserves for six years. Larry enjoyed camping, and fishing.

Larry is survived by his brother, Roger Harris of Washington, Iowa; sister, Faye Mason of Swisher, Iowa; sister, Sharon Bright and husband James of Fredonia, Iowa; brother, Craig Harris and wife Delrene of Iowa City, Iowa; sister, Marjorie Miller and husband Tim of Mt. Pleasant, Iowa; sister, Anita Parker and husband Dallas of Gladstone, Illinois; brother-in-law, Bud Dameron of Washington, Iowa; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Naomi Dameron; and one brother, Donald Harris.
