Kimberly Michelle Rios, age 16, of Washington died Tuesday May 25, 2010 at University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City following a lifelong battle with cystic fibrosis.
Mass of the Resurrection will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 29, 2010 at St. James Catholic Church in Washington with Father Paul Appel officiating. Visitation will begin at 12:00 p.m. on Friday at the Jones - Eden Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Rosary service will be held 7:30 p.m. Friday evening at the Jones - Eden Funeral Home. Kimberly was born on February 16, 1994 in Brownsville, Texas, the daughter of Juana Bernal. She lived most of her life in Washington. She was a ninth grade student at Washington Junior High School. She was a member of St. James Catholic Church in Washington. Kimberly liked listening to music, journaling, and taking pictures.
