Kenwood W. "Plywood" Sanders, age 67, of Washington, IA died Wednesday, June 18, 2014, at Select Specialty Hospital in Davenport, IA.

Celebration of life services will be Monday, June 23, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Jones & Eden Funeral Home in Washington with Rev. W. David Watson officiating. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, June 22, 2014 at Jones & Eden Funeral Home, where the family will be receiving friends from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. A general memorial has been established. Kenwood was born September 8, 1946, in South Dakota, the son of Evelyn (Mauck) and Keith Sanders. After graduating from Washington High School, he ran the Apco Gas Station in town. Kenwood worked for Modine Mfg. for over 38 years.

Kenwood is survived by four sons: Sean Sanders of Washington, IA; Jason Sanders of Washington, IA; Jeff Sanders of Washington, IA; and Doug (Jessica) Sanders of Washington, IA; four grandchildren: Danielle Sutton, Trevor Sanders, Dillan Sanders and Jace Sanders; sister, RenElla Crawford (Donny Wonderlich) of Ollie, IA; and brother, Frank (Paula) Sanders of Idaho.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Eleanor Timmons.
