Obituary
Kenneth D. "Kenny" Blum, age 73, of Washington, passed away Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at the Washington County Hospital.
Mass of the Resurrection will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, August 26, 2017 at the St. James Catholic Church in Washington with Father David Brownfield officiating. Interment will be private. Kenny was born December 1, 1943 in Washington, Iowa, the son of John S. and Cleola (Shalla) Blum. He attended St. James Catholic School and graduated from Washington High School. Kenny was united in marriage to Jeri Lee Snider on June 28, 1969 in Washington.
Kenny worked in food service for many years, working for Dairy Delight, Wingas Café and Hy-Vee. He also worked in maintenance for Halcyon House. Kenny was an avid Chicago Cubs and Iowa Hawkeye fan.
He is survived by his wife, Jeri Blum; son, Mark Blum; brother, Ron Blum; and brother, Larry (Sharon) Blum, all of Washington, IA.
Kenny was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Sheryl Blum.
