Kenneth Crone, age 83, of Washington, Iowa, died Wednesday, April 1, 2020, at Halcyon House in Washington, Iowa.

Ken was born September 22, 1936, in Washington, Iowa, the son of Douglas and Jessie (Hoover) Crone. He graduated from West Chester High School in 1955. Ken was married to Sharon Blankenhorn. The later divorced. He married Mary Schwab and they were divorced. Ken served honorably in the United States Army for 8 years serving in Germany and Korea. He worked in a dental clinic as a non commissioned officer while in Korea.

Ken was a Foreman and Process Engineer for 31 years at Sheller Globe and United Technologies in Iowa City. Following his retirement, Ken moved to Pine River, Minnesota. He enjoyed working with horses and traveling to Montana, Wyoming, Nebraska and the Badlands to go horseback riding.

He is survived by two sons: Randy Crone of Boseman, Montana; Dave Crone and wife Terri of Washington, Iowa; two grandchildren: Laramie Crone and wife Shannon; and Mariah Crone and fiancé Sam Johnson. He is also survived by brother, Doug Crone of Washington, Iowa; sister, Karma Hanson and husband Roger of Iowa City, Iowa; brother, Allen Crone of Olathe, Kansas; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Ken was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Karen Kleese and Kathleen Anderson; and brothers, Keith Crone and Jerry Crone.
