Kendall E. Neil, age 86, of Washington, Iowa, died Sunday, May 29, 2022, at Halcyon House in Washington.

To celebrate Kendall's life, the family will host an informal potluck on Saturday, June 18, 2022, at the Cottonwood Shelter at Lake Darling State Park. Kendall E. Neil was born September 23, 1935, in Mt. Pleasant, Iowa, the ninth child of Chester M. and Beulah (Van Syoc) Neil. He graduated from Mt. Union High School and later attended Iowa State University in Ames. He was united in marriage to Marjorie Ann Poore on October 12, 1957, in Mt. Union, Iowa.

Kendall and Marjorie have lived Washington, Iowa, since 1969. Kendall worked as a Crop Manager for Rolling Acres Stock Farm and later worked at Crane Valve Company for 30 years. He enjoyed fishing and gardening.

He is survived by his wife, Marjorie Neil of Washington, Iowa; son, Craig (Hazel) Neil of Des Moines, Iowa; son, Keith Neil of Omaha, Nebraska; son, Bradley (Hardeav) Neil of Troy, Michigan; son, Scott (Alice Stoner)Neil of Washington, Iowa; daughter, Kathy (Don) Brookhart of Wayland, Iowa; 11 grandchildren: Eric Neil, Tiffany Neil, Zach Neil, Sara Frazier, Colin Neil, Megan Twine, Evan Neil, Elizabeth Neil, Cody Neil, Ashley Peterson, and Justin Allison; 16 great grandchildren; and two brothers, John Neil of Mt. Pleasant, Iowa; and Wilbur (Joan) Neil of Gilbertsville, Kentucky.

Kendall was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Velda Neil, Ronald Neil, Viola Crawford, Robert Neil, Edward Neil and Duane Neil.
