Kelly M. Witherow, age 56, of Washington, Iowa, died Saturday, September 21, 2013 at the Washington County Hospital following a sudden illness.
Celebration of life services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 26, 2013 at the First Baptist Church with Pastor Darryl Carr officiating. Visitation will begin 12:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 Wednesday Evening. Kelly was born March 24, 1957 in Phoenix, Arizona, the daughter of Robert and June ( Neher) Mickelsen. She attended school in Phoenix and graduated from high school in 1975. Kelly was united in marriage to Jason Witherow on March 13, 1998 in Sterling, Illinois.
Kelly lived most of her life in Arizona and had lived in Illinois for fifteen years prior to moving to Washington, Iowa in 2010. She worked at Trax Bar & Grill in Ainsworth, Iowa. While in Illinois, Kelly was a teachers aide where she worked with children behavior disorders.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Washington. She enjoyed being outside doing yard work, gardening and mowing. She especially enjoyed caring for her kids and grandkids.
Kelly is survived by her husband Jason Witherow of Washington, Iowa; son, Robert Jones of Phoenix, Arizona; son, Shane Witherow and fiancé Cayla of Washington, Iowa; son, Sam Witherow of Washington, Iowa; six grandchildren; and four cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Brandon Jones; and one sister, Robin Robinson.
