Justine Hotle, age 84, died Sunday, May 27, 2012 at the United Presbyterian Home in Washington, Iowa after a lengthy illness.
Celebration of life services will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 31, 2012, at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home with Rev. Bob Wollenberg officiating. Visitation will begin noon Wednesday at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 Wednesday evening. Interment will take place at the Elm Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established to the United Presbyterian Home or the Washington Public Library. Justine Hotle was born July 10, 1927 in Washington, Iowa, the daughter of Marion S. and Florence (Owen) George. She graduated from Washington High School and later graduated from the University of Iowa. Justine was united in marriage to Richard B. "Dick" Hotle on September 21, 1957 in Washington, Iowa.
She was a member of the United Presbyterian Church, was a past director of the Washington Community School District and was a past member of the Washington Planning and Zoning Commission. She had resided at the United Presbyterian Home for the past 24 years.
Justine is survived by son Matt Hotle and wife Debbie of Lake Villa, Illinois; daughter Cary Ann Siegfried of Arlington, Texas; seven grandchildren; one great grandchild; step son Steven Hotle and wife Pat of Burlington, Iowa; step son Phillip Hotle of Austin, Texas; and two brothers Paul George and wife Pat of Lakeridge, Virginia; and Stephen George and wife Mary of Omaha, Nebraska. .
She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband Dick in 2008.
