Justin E. Boney, age 23, of Washington formerly of Ainsworth, Iowa and Aledo, Illinois, passed away Saturday, July 24, 2010 following an accident.
Celebration of life services will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Jones Eden Funeral Home in Washington with Pastor Seth Bowker officiating. General calling hours will be held from 3:00 until 9:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Jones Eden Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. Graveside services will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Aledo Cemetery in Aledo, Illinois. Justin was born February 3, 1987 in Aledo, Illinois the son of Michael and Kelleen (Nordin) Boney. Justin graduated from Highland High School in 2005. Following graduation, Justin traveled with his step father working as a journeyman pipefitter. He was currently employed at Knutson Construction in Iowa City, Iowa.
Justin loved the outdoors. He enjoyed boating, fishing, golfing, horseback riding, water and snow skiing, trap shooting, and riding ATV's and dirtbikes. He was an avid sports fan, especially the Iowa Hawkeyes. Justin enjoyed grilling, cookouts and spending time with his friends and family. He loved his friends and treated them like family.
He is survived by his mother and step father Kelleen and John Tate of Ainsworth, Iowa; father Mike Boney of Aledo, Illinois; sister Michelle Gillespie and husband Chance and their son Tyson of Aledo, Illinois; brother Jacob Tate and sister Jessica Tate both of Ainsworth; step brothers Eric, Colten and Dakota of Aledo, Illinois; grandparents Harris and Jeanie Nordin of Strasburg, Ohio; grandmother Carol Ann Boney of Aledo, Illinois; grandparents Stan and Tonny Tate of Columbus Junction, Iowa; Aunt Drue Baugher and husband Perry and their children Blair and Kate of Aledo, Illinois; Aunt Kim Fahrni and husband Bob and their children Kajsa and Kristen of New Philadelphia, Ohio; uncle Chris Nordin of Concord, New Hampshire; Uncle Rob Tate and wife Julie and their children Krystan and Isaac of Ainsworth, Iowa; and his dog Tucker.
Justin was preceded in death by grandfather Edgar Boney and uncle Mark Nordin.
