Judith Ann "Judy" Bartholow, age 74, of Muscatine, Iowa, formerly of Washington, Iowa, passed away Saturday, October 21, 2017 at her residence.

A visitation will be held Thursday, October 26, 2017 from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home in Washington and from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the First Presbyterian Church in Muscatine, Iowa. A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, October 27, 2017 at the First Presbyterian Church in Muscatine with Rev. Dr. Pam Saturnia officiating. A private burial will be held at Elm Grove Cemetery in Washington. A memorial has been established for youth ministry at First Presbyterian Church. Judy was born on October 30, 1942 in Iowa City, Iowa, the daughter of Marshall Lisle and Wilma Fern (Swartzendruber) Hering. She was united in marriage to Bernie J. Bartholow on June 26, 1960 at Eicher Mennonite Church in Wayland, Iowa.

Judy was a homemaker and volunteered in the Muscatine Community School District from 1978-2002 in elementary education at Colorado School. She was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church in Muscatine where she directed the children's choir for about 15 years. She also actively participated in the United Presbyterian Women.

She is survived by her husband, Bernie Bartholow of Muscatine, IA; son, Dr. Timothy Bartholow and Janice of Madison, WI; daughter, Tammi Drawbaugh and husband Paul of Muscatine, IA; grandson, Matt Bartholow and wife Brenda of Bow, WA; grandson, Dan Bartholow of Milwaukee, WI; grandson, Kaleb Drawbaugh; and granddaughter, Emma Drawbaugh.

She was preceded in death by her parents in 1996 and an especially close aunt, Muriel Juanita Hering in 2011.
