Judith Ann "Judy" Bodkins, age 67, of Washington, Iowa, died Wednesday, October 3, 2012 at the All-American Care Center of Washington after a lengthy illness.
Celebration of life services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 6, 2012 at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home with Pastor Sallie Graves officiating. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. Saturday morning at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service on Saturday afternoon. Private family interment will take place at a later date. A memorial has been established to the Alzheimer's Association. Judith Ann Bodkins was born October 6, 1944 in Washington, Iowa the daughter of Charles Wesley and Dora Evelyn (Dunbar) Walker. She graduated from Washington High School. Judy was united in marriage to James Junior Bodkins on January 18, 1962 in Washington.

Following high school, Judy worked at A&W in Washington. She was employed as a data key entry operator at Coors Distribution in Golden, Colorado and Perfex in Washington. She later worked at the University of Iowa where she retired after twenty years. She enjoyed roller skating and spending time with her family and her grandchildren.

Judy is survived by son Wesley George Bodkins of Denver, Colorado, daughter Leslie Joanne Alexander and husband Mike of Florence, Colorado, daughter Barbara Jane Bodkins of Delta, Iowa, and son Matthew James Bodkins of Washington, Iowa; thirteen grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband James in 2007, and one great-granddaughter Kaylee.
