Joyce Elaine Hagemeier, age 87, of Kalona, Iowa, passed away Thursday, October 10, 2024 at Pleasantview Home in Kalona.

Joyce Elaine Walker was born on January 16, 1937, in Clarinda, Iowa, to Floyd and Sadie (Young) Walker. She graduated from Clarinda High School in 1955. On February 20, 1958, Joyce married Frank C. Hagemeier in Clarinda.
Joyce lived in Washington County for over 50 years and worked at the University of Iowa Hospital in the surgery center. She enjoyed caring for her family, especially her beloved grandchildren.
She is survived by her son Chris Hagemeier of Wellman, Iowa; three grandsons: Jonathan, Steven, and Cody; granddaughter, Julie; and four great-grandchildren: Addyson, Jackson, Benjamin, and Evan.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Frank, in 2008; and son, Steven, in 1988.
