Josephine Lemburg, age 73, of Washington, Iowa, passed away Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at the Pearl Valley Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Washington.

A celebration of life service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 9, 2018 at the Marion Avenue Baptist Church in Washington with Pastor Joseph Brown officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. Interment will take place at the Wellman Cemetery at a later date. A general memorial has been established. Josephine was born August 22, 1944 in Iowa City, Iowa, the daughter of Lakin and Elma (Gillispie) Hole. She attended Surprise Valley Country School and graduated from Mid Prairie High School

Josephine worked at the Washington Recycling Center. She was a member of Marion Avenue Baptist Church and enjoyed playing cards.

She is survived by her brothers: John Hole of Washington, IA and Leonard Hole of Minnesota.

Josephine was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands; and two sisters: Rosemary Pratt and Carolyn Hole.
