John A. Goodlander, age 76, of Washington, Iowa, died Tuesday, August 11, 2020, at the Washington County Hospital.

John was born February 14, 1944, in Washington, Iowa, the son of Joe and Lora (Reese) Goodlander. He attended school in Washington, Iowa, and graduated from Washington High School in 1962. He was united in marriage to Yun Il Sun on May 7, 2005.

John lived most of his life in Washington, Iowa where he was employed at Crane Valve Company as a Tool Maker for 38 years. He was a member of the Isaac Walton League where he served as Secretary, and he enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Yun Il Sun of Washington, Iowa; son, Mark (Lisa) Goodlander of Woodbury, Minnesota; daughter, Rachel (Amy) Hallow of Andover, Minnesota; one granddaughter, Breeka Goodlander; and sister-in-law, Rosmond Goodlander of Washington, Iowa.

John was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Joe and Lee Goodlander and one sister-in-law, Marjorie Goodlander.
