Johanna Hellwig, age 87, of Washington, passed away Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at Halcyon House.

Johanna was born February 13, 1931 in Germany, the daughter of Gustaf and Elise Krieger. She attended school in Germany. Johanna was united in marriage to Alvie Perkins in 1948 in Germany. They later divorced. She married Clyde Hellwig who preceded her in death.

Johanna worked for K-Mart for many years. She enjoyed the outdoors, particular the North woods, reading and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her son, Garry Perkins and wife Carol of Edgerton, WI; daughter, Donna Pratt and husband Jim of Eagle-Vail, CO; daughter, Rita Kiefer and husband Larry of Washington, IA; daughter, Michelle Drake of Woodbury, MN; 11 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and step-children: Jim, David and Julie and their families

Johanna was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clyde Hellwig; former husband, Alvie Perkins; and siblings: Henrik, Klaus and Lena.
