Obituary

Jerry Forinash, age 84, of Haines City, Florida, formerly of West Chester, Iowa died Monday September 12th at the Winter Haven Hospital unexpectedly.

Per Jerry's wishes, he was cremated and no services will be held. Jones & Eden Funeral Home is assisting the family. Donations in Jerry's name may be made to the West Chester Heritage Association in care of Jones & Eden Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Washington, IA 52353

Jerry was born September 10, 1932 in Washington County, Iowa, the son of Troy and Vera (Rittenhouse) Forinash. Jerry graduated from West Chester High School. On November 17, 1951 he was united in marriage to Betty Marston at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. He and Betty lived most of their lives in the West Chester and Keota areas and wintered in Florida for the past twenty years. They became residents of Florida five years ago.

Jerry was a farmer for sixty years in the West Chester community and retired eight years ago. He was involved in tractor pulling for over 50 years. He was a lifetime member of the Iowa Tractor Pulling Association. Jerry was a member of the West Chester Methodist Church. He enjoyed playing cards, motorsports of any form, and was an Iowa Hawkeye fan.

He is survived by his son, Mike Forinash and wife Connie of West Chester, Iowa; son, Pat Forinash and wife Luann of Riverside, Iowa; and daughter, Jeri McIntire and husband Nick of Hot Springs, Arkansas; nine grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren; sister in-law, Pat Sallady and husband Jack of Haines City, Florida, and sister in-law, Marion Mitchell of Searcy, Arkansas.

Jerry was preceded in death by his wife Betty in 2011, and his parents.
