Obituary
Jeffrey Lynn Wood, age 70, of Washington, Iowa, passed away peacefully Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at Harmony Nursing Home in Davenport, Iowa.
Graveside services will be held Monday, October 27th at 9:00 am at the Elm Grove Cemetery in Washington. Military honors will be accorded by the Washington American Legion Post 29. Jeff was born November 1, 1954, in Washington, Iowa, the son of Frank Otis and Mary Jane (Neill) Wood. He graduated from Washington High School in 1973. Jeff was a career military man serving our country from 1980 until his retirement in 2004.
He is survived by his sister, Jan Berdo of Washington, Iowa; nephew, Dan (Rachel) Berdo of Washington, Iowa; niece, Mary Berdo of Milford, Connecticut; nephew, Mike Berdo of Washington, Iowa; great niece Tess "Baby Teri" Berdo of Manhattan, Kansas; and great nieces & nephews Sarah, Grant, Jake & Ryan Berdo, all of Washington, Iowa.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law, John Berdo.
