Jeffrey L. Nelson, age 61, of Ainsworth, Iowa, passed away Friday, November 15, 2019 at the University of Iowa Hospital.

Celebration of life services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 23, 2019 at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home in Washington with Pastor Rick Zickefoose officiating. Jeffrey was born October 10, 1958 in Washington, Iowa, the son of Joseph Robert and Shirley Mae (Wolfe) Nelson. He attended school in Washington.

Jeffrey worked for Leichty and Son Construction and had been a chef at the Captain's Table Restaurant. He worked various construction and cooking jobs throughout his life.

He is survived by three sisters: Sherry Cunningham, Marci Cunningham and Joanna Nelson, all of California; and nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
