Jeanette June "J.J." DeGood, age 67, of Washington, Iowa, died Friday, April 16, 2021, at her residence following a sudden illness.

Jeanette was born March 6, 1954, in Iowa City, Iowa, the daughter of Elmer and Barbara June (Keith) DeGood. She attended school in Iowa City and graduated from City High School in 1972.

J.J. has lived in Washington, Iowa, for the past twenty years where she worked at Pearl Valley Nursing and Rehab. She enjoyed gardening and working in her yard.

She is survived by her mother, Barbara DeGood of Iowa City, Iowa; brother, Kenneth DeGood and wife Patty of Iowa City, Iowa; sister, Kathy DeGood of Iowa City, Iowa; niece, Christine Geyer and husband Duane of North Liberty, Iowa; nephew, Clint Poulsen and wife Kelsey of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; nephew, Shawn DeGood and wife Kim of Iowa City, Iowa; and nephew Matt DeGood and wife Christa of Riverside, Iowa, as well as several great nieces and great nephews.

J.J. was preceded in death by her father, Elmer; and brother-in-law, Keith McIntyre.
