Jean Ann Clark, age 83, of Wayland, Iowa, passed away Friday, December 15, 2023, at the Parkview Home in Wayland.

Memorial services will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, December 20, 2023, at the Wayland Mennonite Church with Pastor Michael Swartzendruber officiating. Calling hours will begin 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home where the family will be present to receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Tuesday evening. Interment will take place at the North Hill Cemetery in Wayland, Iowa. Memorials have been established for Hospice of Washington County or Parkview Home. Jean was born December 22, 1939, in Henry County, Iowa, the daughter of Frank and Anna Elizabeth (Messer) Farmer. She attended school in Wayland, Iowa, graduating from Wayland High School in 1957. Jean was united in marriage to Kenneth Clark on January 3, 1959, in Wayland, Iowa.

Jean was a lifelong resident of the Wayland Community. She worked at the Sale Inn Café, Halcyon House and later worked at Brooks Meat Locker and Crawford Meat Locker for 30 years. She enjoyed "Ladies Night Out" and playing Bridge with her friends. Jean enjoyed square dancing, playing cards with family and friends, playing slow pitch softball, and camping. She and Kenneth attended the Iowa State Fair since 1955. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren and attending their many events.

She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Clark of Wayland, Iowa; three daughters: Cathy (Randy) Lee of Wayland, Iowa; Tammy (David) Erwin of Crawfordsville, Iowa; Michelle (Heath) Boone of Wayland, Iowa; seven grandchildren: Shane (Bobbi) Lee, Adam (Holli) Lee, Seth (Janet) Lee, Janelle (Micah) Johnson, Joni Erwin, Cody Crawford, Brice Crawford; as well as nine great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters, Delores McGuire of Wayland, Iowa; and Evelyn (Larry) Morrow of Wayland, Iowa; and brother-in-law, Mel (Linda) Clark of Mesa, Arizona.

Jean was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Bernice Jennings.
