James Patrick "Pat" Robertson, age 48, of Washington, Iowa, died Friday, June 06, 2014, following a lengthy illness.

Celebration of life services will be held 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, June, 10, 2014, at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home in Washington with Rev. Kitch Shatzer officiating. Visitation will begin 2:00 p.m. Monday at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 6:00 until 7:30 Monday evening. Interment will take place at the Elm Grove Cemetery in Washington. Memorials have been established for Paws and More Animal Shelter. James Patrick was born January 13, 1966, in Washington, Iowa, the son of Robert L and Mary Jean (Freshwaters) Robertson. Pat attended school in Washington and graduated from Washington High School in 1984. He attended the University of Iowa and received his Bachelor's Degree from Mankato State University in Mankato, Minnesota.

Pat has resided in Washington for the past five years. He worked in Technology Engineering for several Executive Search Companies. Pat enjoyed computers and anything technology related. He enjoyed reading and taking care of animals, especially Angus, the family dog.

Pat is survived by his parents, Rob and Jean Robertson of Washington, Iowa; sister, Katy Green and husband Russ of Lexington, Kentucky; brother, Kim Robertson and wife Colleen of Peoria, Illinois; sister, Nancy Detweiler and husband Mike of Keota, Iowa; sister, Sara Hauer and husband Scott of Racine, Wisconsin; nine nieces and nephews and five great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Howard & Willa Freshwaters; and paternal grandparents, Bill & Grace Robertson.
