James David "Jim" Marshall, age 66, of Aurora, Colorado, formerly of Washington, Iowa, died Tuesday, January 13, 2015, at the Medical Center of Aurora following a short illness.
Celebration of life services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 17, 2015, at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home with Pastor Darryl Carr officiating. Visitation will begin noon Saturday at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. Interment will take place at the Elm Grove Cemetery in Washington, Iowa. James David Marshall was born February 18, 1948, in Iowa City, Iowa, the son of Ralph and Winnie (Russel) Marshall. He attended school in Washington, Iowa, and graduated from Washington High School. Jim graduated from the University of Northern Iowa with a degree in Business.
Jim has lived in Colorado for nearly 40 years. He was a Sales Representative for several different companies throughout his life but worked primarily for Stadium Auto Parts in Denver, Colorado. While in high school, Jim was on the golf team and enjoyed golf for many years. He was an avid outdoorsman at heart. He enjoyed fishing, duck hunting, pheasant hunting and spending time outdoors with his two black labs.
He is survived by his sister, Judy Driscoll and husband Gene of Washington, Iowa; sister, Jane Little of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; brother-in-law, Lanny Little of Bonita Springs, Florida; nephew, Mike Driscoll and wife Michelle of Washington, Iowa; niece, Darcy Morter and husband Andy of Middlebury, Vermont; niece, Sarah Teller and husband Mike of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; niece, Emily Troyk and husband Eric of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; niece, Elizabeth Goetzke and husband Wes of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; and 8 great nieces and nephews.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents and one nephew, David Driscoll.
