Ivy C. Neff, age 97, of Washington died Wednesday, February 23, 2011 at St. Lukes Hospital in Cedar Rapids following a brief illness.

Celebration of life services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 28, 2011 at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home in Washington with Pastor Julie Poulsen officiating. Visitation will begin 10:00 a.m. Monday at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Interment will take place at the Cottonwood Cemetery in rural Wayland. Ivy was born August 26, 1913 in Muscatine, Iowa the daughter of Herman and Eleanor (Knaack) Marion. She graduated from Wapello High School. Ivy was united in marriage to Walter Neff on August 26, 1932 in Wayland, Iowa. She grew up in southeast Iowa, lived in Las Vegas, Nevada for twenty years and returned to Washington, Iowa in 1988. Ivy was a homemaker. She was a member of the United Methodist Church. She enjoyed square dancing.

Ivy is survived by her son, Jerry Neff and wife Martha of Cedar City, Utah; four grandchildren; six great grandchildren; three great step grandchildren; and one sister, Ann Batterson of Washington.

Ivy was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Walter in 2000; and one brother, Garland Marion.
