Obituary
Hortencia Erickson, age 73, of Washington, Iowa, passed away on Saturday, December 27, 2025, at the Washington County Hospital following a brief illness.

Hortencia was born on December 26, 1952, in Laredo, Texas, the daughter of Alejo and Hortencia (Jimenez) Vasquez. She attended Martin High School in Laredo.
Hortencia worked for Whitesell/Fansteel Manufacturing in Washington for 34 years before retiring. She enjoyed being outside and taking walks.
She is survived by her son, Dana Erickson of Washington, Iowa; son, Aldred Erickson; three granddaughters, Jasmine Erickson, Devan Erickson, and Delila Erickson; and one grandson, Marshall Erickson.
Hortencia was preceded in death by her parents. She will be greatly missed by family and friends.
