Harriet I. Nall, age 92, of Springdale, Arkansas, formerly of Washington, Iowa, died Monday, September 14, 2015, at the Walnut Grove Nursing and Rehab Center in Springdale, Arkansas.
Celebration of life services will be held 5:00 p.m. Saturday, September 19, 2015, at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home. The family will be present at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home to receive friends from 4:00 until 5:00 p.m. Saturday. Interment will take place a later date at North Hill Cemetery in rural Wayland, Iowa. Memorials have been established for the Shriners Hospitals for Children. Harriet was born February 27, 1923, in Washington County, Iowa, the daughter of Henry and Bertha (Miller) Schantz. She attended country school in Washington County. Harriet was married to Chester Ogden Green and later to Boyd Dunbar. She was united in marriage to Arlin Nall on October 15, 1986.
Harriet lived most of her life in Washington County, Iowa. She spent around ten years in Springdale, Arkansas close to Lora, her daughter, most recently since 2012. She was known for her cooking abilities. She and her daughter, Diane, owned and operated the Captain's Table in Washington. Harriet cooked for various civic clubs in Washington for many years. She later worked as a cashier at Hy-Vee in Washington.
She is survived by her daughter, Loretta Roller of Ft. Worth, Texas; daughter, Lora Daniel of Fayetteville, Arkansas; daughter-in-law, Janelle Green of Louisburg, Kansas; daughter-in-law, Anita Green of Broomfield, Colorado; nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Harriet was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Arlin in 2012, daughter, Diane Green Miller, son David Green and son Larry Green. She was also preceded in death by 2 sisters, Berniece and Hannah, three brothers, Elmer, Joe and Dillon Schantz.
