Greggory Jay Karr, age 62, of Harper, Iowa, passed away July 9, 2014 at his home in Washington, with family.

Celebration of life services will be held 1:30 p.m. Saturday, July 19, 2014 at Jones & Eden Funeral Home in Washington, Iowa with Pastor Darryl Carr officiating. Interment will be at a later date. Greg was born June 25, 1952 in Washington, the son of Frank and Ruth (Smith) Karr. He graduated from Mid Prairie High School in 1970 and had his own dump truck business for years. Greg was united in marriage to Shirley Stoutner on March 29, 1982 in Wellman, Iowa.

He is survived by his wife Shirley of Washington, IA; daughter, Brooksie Flynn and friend Joe Wakeland of Washington, IA; son, Joseph Karr and wife Paige of Washington, IA; son, Bobby Karr and fiancee Lauren Heron of Washington; seven grandchildren: Hailey, Sean Flynn, Joseph, Ely, Olivia Karr, Keegan Burns and Milania Karr; brother, Scott Karr of West Chester, IA; sister, Linda Nason of Harper, IA; sister, Julie Gibson of Keota, IA; and sister, Holly White of Ottumwa, IA.

He is preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Gary, and three sisters, Karen, Shelby and Connie.
