Gloria June Reed, age 64, of Washington, passed away Friday, May 4, 2018 at the University of Iowa Hospital.

Celebration of life services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 19, 2018, at the Abundant Mercy Church in Fairfield, Iowa. Interment will be held at a later date. A memorial has been established for the University of Iowa Heart and Vascular Center. The Jones & Eden Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Gloria was born September 1, 1953 in Newton, Iowa, the daughter of Lawrence and Wanda (Oliver) Zuehlke. Gloria graduated from Washington High School in 1972. During high school, Gloria was a member of the Jazz Band. It was here that she met her future husband. Gloria was united in marriage to Robert Reed on September 1, 1974 in Washington, Iowa.

Gloria taught Christian Education in various churches for 20 years. She also managed a furniture store in Maryland and was the DME Manager in Texas. She had worked at the Riverside Casino as well. Gloria enjoyed crafts and sewing.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Reed of Washington, IA; son, Christopher Reed of MI; two granddaughters, Eliana Rose and Victoria Louise Reed of MI; brother, Frank Zuehlke and wife Stephanie of Des Moines, IA; brother, Andrew Zuehlke and wife Holli of Washington, IA; two nephews and many aunts and uncles.

Gloria was preceded in death by her parents.
