Gladys E. Osborn, age 67, of Washington, Iowa, died Sunday, May 7, 2023, at her residence following a sudden illness.

Celebration of life services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 12, 2023, at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home. Calling hours will begin at 2:00 p.m. Thursday May 11, 2023, at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home where the family will be present to receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Interment will take place at Elm Grove Cemetery in Washington. Gladys was born January 22, 1956, in Alton, Illinois, the daughter of Minnie Mae Stoner. She attended school in Alton. Gladys was united in marriage to John Osborn on August 17, 1996, in Washington, Iowa.

Gladys lived most of her adult life in Washington, Iowa, where she worked at Winga's Café and Casey's General Store. She was most recently a homemaker and helped take care of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She collected porcelain dolls and enjoyed eagles.

She is survived by her husband, John Osborn of Washington, Iowa; daughter, Mindy Turner of West Virginia; daughter, Linda Fernandez and husband Facundo of Washington, Iowa; daughter, Thelma Cortes and husband Cayetano of Washington, Iowa; son, Robert Tripplett and significant other, Rita Herra of Iowa City, Iowa; 13 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren. She is also survived by five siblings: Brenda McClean of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; Abe Stoner of Florida; Joe Stoner of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; Steve Stoner and wife Amanda of Buffalo, Iowa; Alice Stoner of Washington, Iowa; and many nieces and nephews.

Gladys was preceded in death by her mother and one sister, Shirley Stoner.
