Florence Marie Graber, age 92, of Washington, Iowa, died Thursday, July 17, 2014, at Halcyon House in Washington.
Celebration of life services will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 22, 2014, at the Eicher Mennonite Church in rural Wayland. Visitation will begin noon Monday at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 Monday Evening. Interment will take place at Eicher Mennonite Cemetery in rural Wayland. Florence was born April 7, 1922 in Lebanon, Oregon, the daughter of Daniel and Lydia (Leichty) Steckly. She attended school in Albany, Oregon. December 1944 Florence was united in marriage to Pete Stauffer who died in September 1954. She later married Elmer Graber in June 1966 who died in June of 1996.
Florence was always a housewife who was known for her sewing, quilt making, cooking, flowers and gardening.
Florence is survived by her daughter, JoAnn Roth and husband Fred of Olds, IA; son, Dan Stauffer and wife Margaret of Washington, IA; son, Jerry Stauffer and wife Elaine of Albany, OR; daughter, Ruth Neff of North Glenn, CO; daughter, Wilma Leichty of Dubuque, IA; daughter, Dorothy Roth and husband Dave of Wayland, IA; 15 grandchildren and numerous great and great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands, a sister, four brothers, a great-grandson and three son-in-laws.
