Evelyn Theta Augustine, age 100, of Washington, Iowa, died Friday, June 14, 2013 at the Heritage Nursing and Rehab Center in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, after an illness of several months.

Celebration of life services will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home with Rev. Bob Wollenberg officiating. Visitation will begin noon Wednesday at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. Interment will take place at the Oregon Township Cemetery in Ainsworth, Iowa. Evelyn was born November 11, 1912, in Davenport, Iowa the daughter of Logan and Gertrude (Britian) Crawford. She graduated from Washington High School in 1931. On August 17, 1932, she was united in marriage to Lloyd D. Augustine in Aledo, Illinois.

She spent most of her married life as a homemaker and assisted in the family farm operation. She raised chickens and grew and tended to her large gardens.

Evelyn is survived by one son, Neal Augustine of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; three grandchildren; four great grandchildren, and one niece.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lloyd Augustine in 1993; one son, Gary Augustine; one brother, Daryl Crawford; and one niece.
