Eula Mae Coon, age 97, of Washington, Iowa, passed away Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at the Briarwood Health Care Center in Iowa City.

A celebration of life service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, March 19, 2018 at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home in Washington where the family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. Monday morning. Eula Mae was born May 14, 1920 in Washington County, Iowa, the daughter of Lewis and Pearl (Foster) Coon. She attended country school near Ainsworth. Eula Mae was a cook for the Washington Community School District for 16 years, retiring in 1985. She was a member of the Salem Church of God Northeast of Ainsworth where she was a pianist for years.

She is survived by her nephew, William Lewis of Lone Tree, IA; nephew, Murray (Patricia) Coon of Washington, IA; niece, Phyllis (Marvin) Crile of Washington, IA; nephew-in-law, Robert Litton of Iowa City, IA; many great-nieces and great-nephews; and best friend, Betty Eyestone of Washington, IA.

Eula Mae was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Everette Coon; sister, Olive Murphy; and niece, Loreta Kay Litton.
