Eric Scott Waterhouse, age 31, of Washington, Iowa, died suddenly on Sunday, November 27, 2016, in rural Washington County.

Celebration of life services will be held 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at the Church of God in Brighton, Iowa, with Rev. Grant Gerdom and Rev. Rick Zickefoose co-officiating. Calling hours will begin noon Monday at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home in Washington where the family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Interment will take place at the Grace Hill Cemetery in rural Washington County. Eric Scott Waterhouse was born December 1, 1984, in Washington, Iowa, the son of Dan and Barb (Pickering) Waterhouse. He graduated from Suburban Heights Baptist School in Fairfield, Iowa, and later earned his Bachelor Degree in Business Management. Eric was united in marriage to Jodi Cline on August 9, 2003 in Fairfield, Iowa.

He was a heavy equipment operator and dirt crew foreman for Dan Waterhouse Earth Moving and Tiling Company. Eric loved music and spending time with his family. He was an accomplished guitarist and enjoyed sharing his talent with family and friends. He enjoyed playing basketball and was an avid Iowa Hawkeye, St. Louis Cardinal and LeBron James fan.

Eric is survived by his wife Jodi Waterhouse of Washington, Iowa; parents, Dan and Barb Waterhouse of Washington, Iowa; brother, Kyle Waterhouse and wife Shannon and their children Kenzie and Isaiah of Keota, Iowa; sister, Krista Gerdom and husband Grant and their children Cohen and Harper of Tulsa, Oklahoma; brother, Jess Waterhouse and wife Joyah of Canyon City, Colorado; father and mother-in-law, Bill and Louise Cline of Fairfield, Iowa; grandmother, Connie Waterhouse of Washington, Iowa; grandparents, Lonnie and Karen Pickering of Pleasant Plain, Iowa; grandmother-in-law, Laura Cline of Lockridge, Iowa; sister-in-law, Billi-Jo Anderson and husband Art of Acton, Massachussets; and sister-in-law, Kami Cline of Fairfield, Iowa.

Eric was preceded in death by his grandfather, Bob Waterhouse Jr.; an infant sister, Carissa Waterhouse; and an uncle, Jason Waterhouse.
