Ella Mae (Severa) Luckey, age 88, passed away on Sunday, April 17, 2022 from congestive heart failure.

A family graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 22, 2022, at the Riverside Public Cemetery with Chaplain Andrew Zuehlke officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established for the First Baptist Church of Washington or the American Cancer Society c/o Jones & Eden Funeral Home, Washington, Iowa. Ella was born December 6, 1933, in Iowa City, Iowa, the daughter of Fred J. and Bessie (Mekota) Severa. She was united in marriage to Fred J. Luckey on June 27, 1956, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Ella is survived by two sons, Philip (Mary) Luckey of Bossier City, Louisiana; and Bryan (Carol) Luckey of Hannibal, Missouri; four grandchildren; six great grandchildren and one sister, Carol Hill .

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in 1989; son, Kenneth Luckey and daughter-in-law, Anne Luckey; and three sisters, Esther Scurlock, Georgia Norris and Adela Anderson.
