Edith M. Lloyd, age 79, of Washington, passed away Sunday, December 2, 2018 at the University of Iowa Hospital.

Celebration of life services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, December 7, 2018 at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home with Pastor Jason Collier officiating. Calling hours will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, December 7, 2018 at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Friday afternoon. Edith was born July 8, 1939, the daughter of John and Eunice (Goodwin) Hurley. She attended school in Indiana. Edith was united in marriage to William Calvin "Bill" Lloyd, Jr. on February 22, 1958 in Muscatine, Iowa.

Edith provided daycare to children for many years while caring for her home and family. She enjoyed cooking and fishing and loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by her son, Tony Lloyd and wife Robin of Kalona, IA; son, Calvin Lloyd of Washington, IA; son, Mike Lloyd and wife Lisa of Ainsworth, IA; grandchildren: Jessica Murray and husband Keith, Jeremy Lloyd and wife Brandi, Brandon Lloyd, Tanja Hughes, Clae Lloyd, Kailah Lloyd, Brittany Patel and husband Sam, David Lloyd and wife Jalyn, and Hailey Lloyd; 8 great-grandchildren; brother, Joe Hurley and wife JoAnn of Lewisport, KY; brother, Jerry Hurley of Newburg, IN; brother, Rick Hurley of Newburg, IN; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband in 2010, and brother, John Lee Hurley in 2010.
