Doris M. Reeves, age 90, of Phoenix, Arizona, formerly of Washington, Iowa, died December 27, 2014 in Phoenix.

Memorial services for both Doris and Marion Reeves will be held in the spring of 2015 at the Elm Grove Cemetery in Washington. The Jones & Eden Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Online condolences may be sent for Doris's family through the web at www.jonesfh.com

Doris was born on January 27, 1924, in Washington County, Iowa, the daughter of Grover and Margaret Custer. She graduated from Washington High School and was united in marriage to Marion L. Reeves, also of Washington, in 1942.

After a number of years living in Des Moines, Iowa, in 1955 they moved to Lodi, California, a suburb of Sacramento, where they resided for 57 years.

Mrs. Reeves was a homemaker and was active in a number of civic organizations. In 2012, Doris and her husband moved to a senior retirement community in Phoenix.

Doris is survived by one son, John Reeves of Scottsdale, Arizona; three grandsons, and her younger sister, Darlene Lauder of Fairfield, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her husband in December of 2013 and her older brother, Don Custer.
