Doreen Raye Macias, age 63, of Washington, Iowa, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 11, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 19, 2025, at the Good Neighbor Fellowship Church in Keota, Iowa, with Pastor Doug Tinnes officiating. Visitation will take place prior to the service, beginning at 10:00 a.m. where the family will be present to receive friends. Memorials have been established for the Good Neighbor Fellowship Church. Doreen was born January 21, 1962, in Conesville, Iowa, the daughter of Robert E. and Dorothy F. (Knowler) Conaway. She attended school in Conesville, Iowa, and later graduated from Hamilton Tech Community College with her Medical Assistant's Degree. Doreen was united in marriage to Jose M. Macias on September 23, 1976, in San Antonio, Texas.

Doreen was a homemaker and took pride in raising her seven children. She was a member of the Good Neighbor Fellowship Church in Keota. She enjoyed fishing, sewing, and participating in church activities.

She is survived by her husband, Jose Macias of Washington, Iowa; her children: Angie (Ian) Smith of Washington, Iowa; Bobbie (Jeremy) Wagner of Muncy, Pennsylvania; Joe (Shantel) Macias of West Liberty, Iowa; Abi Roberts of Farmington, Iowa; Jonathan (Charidy) Macias of Washington, Iowa; Benjamin (Emily) Macias of New Braunfels, Texas; and Isabel (Ethan) White of Keota, Iowa; along with 21 grandchildren, and one great-granddaughter. She is also survived by her sisters: Sherry Stewart of Wapello, Iowa, Kay Fifield of Rockford, Illinois, and Linda Barlett of Ottuwma, Iowa; and brother, Jack Conaway of Reynolds, Illinois.

Doreen was preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Brandon; granddaughter, Lillian; brothers, Steve, Robert and Mark Conaway; mother-in-law, Maria De Jesus Macias; brothers-in-law, Cruz Macias and Enrique Macias; and sisters-in-law, Carrie Macias and Veronica Macias; son-in-law, Andy Roberts.
