Donna Lea (Wylie) Wheelan, age 89, of Washington, Iowa passed away Monday, April 23, 2018 at the Halcyon House in Washington.

Celebration of life services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 26, 2018 at the United Presbyterian Church in Washington with Rev. Bill Warhover officiating. Calling hours will begin at noon on Wednesday at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home in Washington where the family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 Wednesday evening. Interment will take place at the Elm Grove Cemetery in Washington, Iowa. Memorials have been established for Hospice of Washington County or the Washington Betterment Foundation. Donna Lea Wylie was born March 11, 1929, in Washington County, Iowa, the daughter of Don and Edna (Chilcote) Wylie. She attended school in Washington, Iowa, and graduated from Washington High School in 1946. Donna was united in marriage to Paul Raymond "Mike" Wheelan on September 8, 1950, in Washington, Iowa.

Donna was a homemaker and mother. She was a member of the United Presbyterian Church where she sang in the church choir for 67 years and was active in the United Presbyterian Women. Donna enjoyed the outdoors, working in the yard, gardening and working with her flowers.

She is survived by her daughter, Mickey Falkner and husband Lynn of Utah; son, Dan Wheelan of Washington, Iowa; son, Tom Wheelan and wife Connie of Washington, Iowa; daughter, Holly Ostertag and husband Derrick of St. Paul, Minnesota; daughter, Teri Hartzler and husband Drew of Washington, Iowa; seven grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Mike Wheelan; two sisters: Virginia Knupp and Martha Witthoft; and one brother, Harold Wylie.
