Donna Mae Svatos, age 66, of Ainsworth, Iowa, passed away on Thursday, November 5, 2026, at the University of Iowa Hospital, following a courageous battle with cancer.

Donna was born on October 5, 1960, in Washington, Iowa, the daughter of Thomas and Anita (Fish) Rabenold. She attended school in Washington, Iowa. Donna was united in marriage to Raymond Svatos on October 23, 1976, in Ainsworth, Iowa.

After living in California and Colorado, Donna moved back to Iowa where she lived most of her life. She worked as a machine operator in local factories and later worked in the Dietary Services Department of Parkview and Aspire Nursing Homes. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Donna also enjoyed caring for her cats.

She is survived by her husband, Raymond Svatos; daughter, Christina Milewski; son, Paul Svatos; son Jospeh Svatos; and daughter, Lisa Svatos, all of Ainsworth. She is also survived by six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; her mom, Anita Rabenold of Ainsworth, Iowa; brother, Donald Rabenold of Ainsworth, Iowa; brother, David (Janet) Rabenold of Plattsmouth, Nebraska; brother, Danny Rabenold of Ainsworth, Iowa; one nephew, three nieces and several great nieces and great nephews.

Donna was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Rabenold in 2009; grandparents; one aunt, Donna Ripple; and two uncles, Robert and Charles Fish.
