Donald Keith Wolfe, age 63, of Conesville died Friday, September 24, 2010 at his residence following a sudden illness.

Celebration of life services will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday September 29th at the
Jones - Eden Funeral Home in Washington with Pastor Darryl Carr officiating. Visitation will begin 12:00 p.m. Tuesday September 28th at the Jones - Eden Funeral Home where the family will be present from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Private family interment will take place at the Elm Grove Cemetery in Washington at a later date. Don was born on May 6, 1947 in Washington, Iowa the son of Wayne Ordell and Elizabeth M. (Varney) Wolfe. He graduated from Washington High School in 1965. Don worked for Benda Looker in his earlier years. He worked as a certified heating and air conditioning specialist for Roe Heating and Air Conditioning in Washington for 18 years. He was certified in geothermal systems for McCoy Plumbing and Heating in Olds for many years. Don was also certified as an electrician, plumber, and in appliance repair. Even after his partial retirement he continued to work part time for Modern Climate Systems in Kalona and would help out all of his family and friends with his talents. Don enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was an outdoorsman who loved bird watching, boating, being on the river, running bank lines, his power-stroke Ford truck, having breakfast at his window over looking the river, playing cards and horseshoes. Don enjoyed taking his children and grandchildren camping at many Iowa lakes during holiday weekends.

Don is survived by his daughter, Sandy Wolfe of Mt. Pleasant, Iowa; daughter, Dawn McNeil and husband Scott of Wapello, Iowa; son, Kevin Wolfe and wife Wendy of New London, Iowa; son, Greg Wolfe of Washington, Iowa; 17 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; his mother, Elizabeth Wolfe of Washington, Iowa; brother, Robert Wolfe of South English, Iowa; sister, Gwen Shepherd and husband Ed of Washington, Iowa; brother, Dennis Wolfe and wife Sandi of Washington, Iowa as well as many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Wayne Wolfe in 2008.
