Services have been rescheduled for 10:30 a.m. Thursday February 3, 2011 at the funeral home. Friends may call after 9:00 a.m. on Thursday.

Donald Junior Buster, age 71, of Washington, died Saturday, January 29, 2011 at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City after a brief decline in health.

Celebration of life services will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday, February 3, at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home in Washington with Rev. Al Kruse officiating. Visitation will begin at 12:00 pm Tuesday at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home in Washington where the family will receive friends from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm Tuesday. Interment will take place at the Elm Grove Cemetery in Washington. A general memorial has been established. Online condolences may be sent for Don's family though the web at www.jonesfh.com .

Don was born March 15, 1939 in Letts, Iowa the son of Donald and Audrey (Lukenbach) Buster. He was baptized at a rural country Baptist church. Don graduated from Hillsboro High School in 1957 and attended Parsons College in Fairfield, Iowa. On February 12, 1971, Don was united in marriage to Yvonne Grinstead in Washington, Iowa. Don worked at Rath Packing Company as a hog buyer and grade and yield man. After he left Rath he went to work at the D.O.T. where he retired as an assistant foreman in January of 2002.

Don was a lifelong sports fan, back from the days when he played 4-H softball. Later in life he played on and managed a local team. He was an avid Iowa Hawkeye and Chicago Cubs fan. Don enjoyed hunting.

Don is survived by his wife, Yvonne Buster of Washington; son, Patrick Siegrist and wife Donna of Ainsworth; daughter, Lori Siegrist and Walt of Hiawatha; daughter, Amber Buster and Patrick of Iowa City; four grandchildren, Seth Siegrist of Tallahassee, Florida; Dylan Siegrist of Hiawatha; Jennifer McFarland and husband Shawn of Ainsworth; Dawn Clifton and husband Nick of Ainsworth; five great grandchildren; one sister, Erma Maine of Columbus Junction two brothers, Willard Buster and wife Eva of Ainsworth; and Butch Buster and wife Pinky of Wapello; brother-in-law, Dean Grinstead of Ottumwa; and sister-in-law, Jean Proctor and husband Glenn of Ottumwa.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one infant brother, Dennis.
