Donald Lee Beenblossom, age 90, of Washington, Iowa, passed away Monday, January 22, 2024, at the Halcyon House in Washington.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday, January 29, 2024, at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home with Pastor Darryl Carr officiating. Calling hours will begin 12:00 p.m. Sunday at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home where the family will be present to receive friends from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. Interment with military honors will take place at Elm Grove Cemetery in Washington. Don was born March 10, 1933, in Washington, Iowa, the son of Harold P. and Alta Mae (Fetters) Beenblossom. Don attended school in Washington and graduated from Washington High School in 1951. He served honorably in the United States Air Force.

Don was a life long resident of Washington County where he farmed south of Washington. He enjoyed working on his farm equipment, and watching NASCAR and old Western movies.

He is survived by nephew, Mark (Christie) Beenblossom of Washington, Iowa; niece, Julie McDonald of Columbia, Missouri; Barbara (Greg) Reed of Columbia, Missouri; Amy Beenblossom of Florida; 5 great nieces and nephews and one great great niece.

Don was preceded in death by his parents; and brother Paul and his wife LuElla.
