Dolores B. Witte, age 87, of Washington, Iowa, formerly of Lincolnshire, Illinois, died Sunday, June 12, 2016, at the Halcyon House in Washington after a lengthy illness.

Memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 16th in the Day Lounge at Halcyon House. Private family interment will take place at Elmwood Cemetery in River Grove, Illinois, at a later date. Dolores was born June 14, 1928, in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Esaw and Katherine (Matoes) Yohanna. Dolores graduated from Sullivan High School in Chicago, Illinois, and attended Loyola University in Chicago where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.

Dolores was employed at St. Francis Hospital in Evanston, Illinois, where she taught nursing classes for many years.

She is survived by three sons: William Witte and wife Connie of Swisher, Iowa; Kurt Witte and wife Sandy of Charlotte, North Carolina; and Paul Witte of Chicago, Illinois. Dolores is also survived by four grandchildren and one sister, Diane Lund of Minnesota.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
