Dennis Duane Layman, age 64, of Ainsworth, Iowa, passed away Friday, May 23, 2025, at the University of Iowa Hospital.

Dennis was born June 28, 1960, in Muscatine, Iowa, the son of Russell and Mary Jean (Bolar) Layman. He attended school in Muscatine, Iowa. Dennis was married to Michelle Ineichen in 1994.

Dennis lived most of his live in Muscatine and has lived the past 15 years in Ainsworth, Iowa. He worked several years as a heavy equipment operator. Dennis enjoyed dirt track racing and building race cars with his son, Cody. He especially enjoyed the time spent with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his son, Michael Ineichen and wife Megan of Durant, Iowa; daughter, Stephanie Ineichen of Iowa City, Iowa; daughter, Tiffany Ineichen of Winfield, Iowa; son, Cody Layman and wife Anne of Crawfordsville, Iowa; daughter, Brittany Hicks and husband Austin of Charles City, Iowa; 14 grandchildren; one great-grandson; and sister, Linda Seefeldt and husband Wayne of Muscatine, Iowa.

Dennis was preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers, Gordon Layman and Russell "Bud" Layman ; and one sister Debbie.
